Poem -

My Grandmother

My grandmother

We went riding on golf carts

Me, sitting on her lap steering

Flishing with bamboo poles

Minnows nibbling at our feet

As they hang off the dock

Swimming

Givimg the dogs baths

Doing everything in that pond

Playing the piano

Guitar and tambourine

Watching you sing

And, then you couldn't see or hear as well

And it all faded away

Things got hard and went downhill fast

Everyone chipped in to help you

In and out of the hospital

Sometimes for weeks

And then, on October 27, 2016

You were gone
