My Halloween Queen

My Halloween Queen

All Hallow's Eve is upon us
Once more the angelic good, wicked will they become, if they weren't already inside
Across paths and borders that seldom hide
Inner darkness prevails when summoned by the season
All the repressed
Outer darkness is decorated, facades peel and fall away like the rotted leaves
And the most beautiful stay
Remaining like the best parts of you
The colors are true
But, horrors do arise
You walk through thresholds, doorways, brick walls made by opposing forces
Whoever it may be, they can't deny that you are real
Even when costumed you still reveal
That you are a queen
In the cusp of Halloween
On the appointed night and every day thereafter
