My Hero

At first I thought my hero was my brother because he told me he loved me and he was there to protect me but really he was the one who hurt me

Then my hero is my dad because I thought he would support me no matter what but now he's the one who's calling me a failure and telling me I can't do anything right

Then I pick my therapist because he listened to me and he cared but then I learned he was only in it for the money

So I guess my real heroes myself because I pick myself up when I fall and I'm the only one who is saving me and I try to be everyone's hero even the ones who have hurt me because I want to save everyone from the pain that I feel
