My Irish Twin

My Irish Twin

I want you to call me, worried about your six siblings, your nieces and nephews and our mom.

I want you to call me, checking-up on our family, making sure that everyone is home safely after a winter snowstorm, a heavy rain, or just because it’s the weekend!

I long to hear your loving voice everyday and all that your unselfish love encompassed.

Without you, I’m only a paper-thin remnant of what I was, what is good, what made sense.

Without you, I am your heartbroken sister doing my best to continue on, knowing that while I live and breathe on Earth, I won’t hear your voice in a phone call, the audio sound alerting me of a daily text from you and mostly, I won’t be able to hug you tightly and enjoy the sound of your infectious laughter, which warmed and filled my heart with unsullied love beyond the stars.
