Just in case anyone might be interested, I thought I would let you know that my ninth book 'A Handful of Ghosts and a Woman in Blue' has just been published and should be available from Amazon wherever you might be living, or indeed hiding anywhere in this funny old world of ours ..
Anyway, as always, monies raised will be going to Cancer Research, Breast Cancer & Brain Tumour Research and Mental Health charities .. It contains almost 200 poems, various scribbles and other philosophical ponderings, all written by yours truly ..
Please dont be shy .. and do feel free to buy as many copies as you like .. its all for such good causes and every little helps .. Go on, do something that will give ya tummy a warm glow ..

Its good to hear from you my friend and before anything else, thank you for thinking about obtaining A Handful of Ghosts & A Woman in Blue, I think you are the only person who has so far bought and obtained a copy and left a formal review on all my poetry books to date ..
I personally reckon that say's an awful lot about your generosity and preparedness to try and help others less fortunate, than it does about your poetry and reading preferences .. but hey, not only on behalf of all those with brain, breast and other forms of cancer as well as various mental health concerns, I extend my very personal thanks ..
I swear without folk like your good self the world would be a much sorrier place and in a worse state than it presently finds itself ..
I have literally just got back from a three week cruise I treated myself to because I felt exhausted after the rollercoaster ride of the last few months .. there really have been some massive highs what with the birth of my granddaughter which was amazing but a little counterbalanced by the return of my now five year old nieces second brain tumour .. work was getting on top of me too .. I wont mention Syria, the Ukraine or Gaza .. I think I did once but got away with it ..
Arrived home yesterday evening late from Rio and well n truly shattered not exactly jet lagged but something very close and more like sleep deprivation mixed with a little relief and a couple of large glasses of red ..
I am back at the old grindstone midday Sunday for a whole week of being on call which I am not looking forward to ..
It is 10.19 a.m here and I still feel pretty rough so plan on returning to bed for an hour or so while I still can .. Have just been informed my tenth book 'Echo's Dont Tell Lies' is out on or around the 1st of Jan ..
I plan on taking a bit of a break after that .. Anyway, that's enough about me .. I sincerely hope that You and yours are all well and that you are not being run ragged at work .. Do also take care and stay safe ..

That cruise sounds just the tonic to recharge all depleted batteries,
all human spirit batteries that is and after reading, you certainly needed it.
For you mention those countries in turmoil through work and just one at present would be enough to wear a mere mortal down in a work related environment.
You would know more about what is going on, on many levels
than just the man in street, I dare say a lot more.
Sad to hear about your niece and hope she can beat it again.
No child should ever go through that, especially this time of year
And I'm sure she'll be well looked after and the centre of attention
for all around her.
Good luck on that old grindstone for Sunday, I know what you mean there.
Just a matter of hanging in there and counting down the days to relax and relax properly, try to clear one's mind.
For physical and mental health are hand in glove paramount to
an inner well being.(Not forgetting that red wine helps, helps a lot!)

Having first read this several days ago, I held back with the intention of trying to eventually pen a lengthy and detailed response .. but time and work commitments seem to have got the better of me mate .. so sorry this short response will have to suffice at least for now as I have just had a very long night on call and have just been called out again .. I really do have an intense dislike of these ridiculously long stints .. But won't leave without thanking you for your kindness, support, generosity and friendship .. all of those things are so very important .. but your friendship is something I value the most .. so thank you again .. Amelie is coming to stay with her baby brother for Xmas and although the long term prognosis is not great she does appear quite happy .. I also have my granddaughter and both my kids staying too so will have quite the houseful ..
All the very best of all good things to you and yours and those you also hold dear for Christmas and the fast approaching New Year ..

We re kicking off with a ride on the illuminated Xmas steam train .. actually everybody else is, I'm holding back and prepping for a hot buffet late evening tea back home ..
Those former words of mine were truly meant and still apply & thank you again my friend .. Take care I hope you will soon be shutting up shop for a bit of a break .. I've got a long day ahead and can hardly wait until noon on Sunday when I knock off for a day or two ..
