There's no sparkle, no flame
That waltzes scott-free
Through the system, of me

Grateful
To have found
Her,
Her intimacy
Her empathy

Such a Love
Too powerful for film
Too icicle
Hot,
For pain
----------------------------------
She's deity
To me,
The smooth cold
Of space night,
My compass,
My smooth
Sleep
----------------------------------
Born again
7:16 a.m.
God, how I Love
Her
Golden warmth,
So electric
I plug in,
Drink in
Her,
My life blood....

Damn it man, this is gorgeous!!
When you truly love someone, the danger always exists that you can deify them in your mind; imbuing them with your love and filling up and submerging their flaws: so that the pedestal you've built seems to have put them beyond your reach. That danger becomes heightened when you're a poet to your very core...and you, most assuredly, are THAT.
But! ... to hell with the danger!! If a poet cannot praise his lady, then what's the damned point of owning a pen?!?
There's a crystalline structure to this beautiful piece which is heated by the fervour of your passion...the finely drawn comparison between poetic subject (object of adoration) and living, breathing woman is so lovingly traced that her heartbeat seems to drive the prosody of the poem itself.
All a poet really needs are a pen...and something worth writing about.
You clearly have both; as this ode/paean/elegy attests with grace and charm.
