Poem -

My little one

She is a whole lot of sunshine,
Her smile brightens our day.

My love for her is something hard to explain,

It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may,

Nothing can take my love for her

away.

Our life together has just barely begun,

She's the best part of me, she's my little one.

I've daydreamed of things we will share and do together,

Like teaching her ABCs and reading her bedtime stories,

Her first steps and banged up knees,

I think of things she'll want to know,

Like how the stars sparkle, and how the moon has such a bright glow.

The lessons I'll get to teach her like always standing tall and never starting fights.

Each night I lay her down to sleep,

I gently kiss her forehead and cheeks,

Through misty eyes I whisper to her "I love you"

every single night.

On trying days where parenting doesnt seem quite as breezy... I remind myself.. they are only little for such a short time and that I'm gonna miss every single little thing about it when they are grown...and then the smiles come just as easy 🖤🖤🖤
This has me sentimental this morning ❤️ glad I got the chance to read it!
