My memory isn’t very good
Tisn’t sharp like used to be
But then again I guess
Its expected at almost six ty

So if I’m asked to remember something
& they don’t remind me again
You can bet your bottom dollar
I have forgotten, its such a pain

You see I forget to jot it down
On a scribble pad
Which is a shame & a pity
Coz I’d know all about it if I had

Lets hope I dont get any worse
A few years down the line
At the moment its okay
I get by pretty fine

But my parents both had dementia
When they were old & grey
That gave me a heavy heart
I really have to say

I’m hoping I am different
Don’t get affected this way
But they say your like your folks
So if I am then come what may

Put it this way if I do
I won’t know Im fruit the loop
I will be happy in my bubble
Along with the rest of the group

I
