my message

send them my message tell them what i know

about a society that takes your born rights and freedoms and separates you into a social box

yes! that's where we live such a beautiful place

for a race that was only given freedom by grace

yeah i hear the saying the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice

well they packaged us,labeled us, and sold us to the world

with the whip marks on your backs spelling... negro

but this just doesn't apply to us you know

living with a numerical scar reminding you of

who once owned you , tortured you, left you a living corpse

but you see this is where it gets personal, emotional

thinking about a time when your people had no control

still no control

they got us chained up locked up life without parole

hands behind our backs cuffed from a distant corner
