My mind of obliviousness

On a cold and frosty morning early in December well I was wrapping up my Xmas presents I can still remember, I was laughing at my daughter we were singing Christmas songs as she roasted chestnuts on the embers holding some fire tongs

We were looking forward to the festive period coz it wasn’t far away, all in preparation for Santa on his sleigh
But looking back with such fond affection well we didn’t have a clue that just around the corner we would be feeling Oh so blue
Little did we know that thousands of miles away something would cause a catastrophy to make us feel dismay

So as I reminisce thinking back to those happy times, I write about my memories in these verses with my rhymes 
Thank goodness I have got so many good times to remember, Oh what fun I had with my lovely family in December
It’s days like today when I want to go back and forget about it all in my mind of obliviousness without a crystal ball
