Poem -

My mum .

My mum she calls me ,
several times a day,
By the last time,
we've ran out of things to say,
She sits there in the silence,
On the other end of the phone,
She gets so lonely,
Holding the phone ,
she's not alone,
She likes to listen to my children running around,
Nothing in this life,
brings her more joys,
than this sound,
I often wonder,
how lonely life will be,
when she's no longer around,
I think my life,
would be a hard pill,
to swallow,
Because if she left ,
my heart would sound hollow,
She fills in the moments,
when nothing is there,
Always around within loving care,
She consoles me,
when nothing feels right ,
She loves long talks,
into the night ,
A sad day when her soul,
takes flight ,
So while she right here ,
I'll hold on with all my might.
