My Name Is...

Hello There, My Name is Loser.
A useless piece of nothing who’s the butt of every rumor.
I’m a freak.
And I’m unique.
I’m different and I hate it.
They tell me to suck it up and take it.
I don’t like feeling this way.
I would give anything for the memory’s to fade away.
I’m sick of feeling unwanted.
Maybe I wouldn’t keep being haunted.
But the memories just keep coming back
And trust me. It won’t be too long before I start to crack.
Hello There, My Name is ugly.
I’m utterly disgusting and round and pudgy.
I’m a drama queen
A loser with big dreams.
I’ll never go far
I make too many wishes on shooting stars.
They say I’m nothing.
And I just want to say that they’re all bluffing.
But truth be told I know they’re not.
I just wish that approval could be bought.
I’m a total failure…Yeah. Yeah I know.
I’ve figured this out a long time ago…
Hang on please. Wait just one second before you disappear.
I think there’s something you should hear.
You thought this was going to be a depressing poem. Am I correct?
I’m sure I am. Just let it play out to the end. I’m sure this isn’t at all what you were planning to expect.

My Name is…

Hello There, My Name is Lovely
Trust me dear, I have my days but I’m usually quite bubbly.
My looks could use a couple tweaks
And there are many things about me you could critique.
I’m not perfect.
But I am worth it.
At least I think I am.
Confidence isn’t something you just get like BAM!
You ask for it and suddenly it’s there.
It’s not about what you eat or how you do your hair.
You work for it day by day.
And I am beautiful no matter what you say.
I’m no supermodel
And yeah, I still eat at McDonald’s
But that doesn’t mean I’m any less,
Just because I can’t fit into the same size dress!
You are who you choose to be.
Just because you don’t feel beautiful doesn’t mean you can pick on me.
Hello There, My Name is Lindsey.
My confidence sometimes is low and I rarely feel pretty.
You can say what you want and tell me whatever you please.
But I am beautiful the way I am and that I do believe.
Wanna call me fat? Go ahead. Take a seat.
I’ve already taken several trips down that street.
You’re not the first to berate me. So go ahead wait in line.
But I’m a beautiful star and I swear I’m gonna shine.
So you can go ahead and tear me down.
But I promise you dear I won’t stay on the ground.
Because I am loud and I am proud
And I was never meant to follow the crowd.
