My Paralytic Nightmare

Light as a feather, floating through the air,
Waterfalls and rainbows, and her flowing long blonde hair.

Ocean waves, crashing on the shore,
Sand between her toes, all she wants to do is soar.

The calmness subsides..
Stillness all around..
Something isn't right here..
There's rumbling underground..

She awakens now, like a fall from a great height..
Panic sets in, she's in the dead of night..

Her eyes wide open, her body lay still..
She cannot move, not by her own will..

She cannot scream,
She cannot shout,
Fear is all she knows now..
The demons are out..

Time passes by, past the twilight zone..
Heart pounding, she's breathless..
Her body is again her own.
