My Prayer

I feel the tears running down my face

As I sit here in this lonely place.

I think about you, wishing you were here,

To wipe away my falling tear.

I quietly went down upon my knee.

To pray for the Lord to be with me.

Prayer makes a request to move heaven

Say a few words for God to listen.

That he may preserve me with his power,

Watching over me every hour.

As I take a journey each day back home.

Lord, please do not leave me to be alone.

Send a guarding angel to guide me safely

with miracles of goodness and mercy.

Revive my spirit, that needs to be free.

Let abundant love be always with me.

I believe the word and testimony of you.

That these are the wonderful things you do.

In sublime deeds lived on for all time,

heal the lame and give sight to the blind.

You give beautiful things betwixt pain,

talents, and skills, and plenty remain,

waiting up there until our years are full

With the blessed hope fulfill.
