My Queen

My Queen

I

My Queen I've loved you since we were new, sights we haven’t seen are but few.

Yet I notice now you are but tainted, Your smile it frowns with the more detail that’s painted.

My love its true, I am but blue. My love for you is no longer in tune.

I've met another within the night, his love is magic and gives a fright.

But dear I've loved you since the sky was blue, I've loved you still as you turn to.

I married you in pride, for you are the one I dreamt of by my side.

I’m sorry still for what I have done, for I know your words are as clear as the sun.

But my love for you has turned to grey, from the radiant green of another day.

II

Hither my lady, I have something to say, I notice your beauty more this day!

Although I've loved you since bees did sting, your beauty it blinds me like an unworldly thing.

My love, your words are shining stars, they grant my wishes that were once far.

But I need to speak the truth, I have swindled my way under your roof.

What do they mean these words you speak?

Your vows, in sickness, in health, with your speech my heart doth sink.

My knight, the love I have for you, has grown with every day gone by,

It is bought in your riches and so all the more true, with your wealth it could never turn blue.

III

My dear we've been through troubles, aged but not forgotten.

The love we share has struggled to stay, but as time passes’ so does each blessed day.

Alas my love it is so, our bond has prevailed through a harsh flow.

Yet the bluest day could never taint, the connection that’s not for sake.

We’ve seen the world then its changes, our bodies grow old and faded.

Nevertheless with these wounds, I hold so dear, that thru you stayed so near.

Of course, we walked through patchy lands, never unlocking hands.

For its best to end on greener grass than look back at waste and lost plans.
