Can I share this with you?
Are you to be trusted ?
Are you real?
My inner thoughts are very ‘inner’
now I feel they need an ‘out’
Deep breath, chose my words carefully, and away I go…..
Ok ….ready?.... ready for this?..…
Seriously  I ask this question alone ……
are you real?
Do you exist?
Or am I alone  and surrounded by virtual reality?
Am I a sole player in a cosmic game held captive to a life that
Actually doesn’t exist outside of my own perception
Maybe there really is nothing except what I imagine real….
But, I ask again…are YOU real?
Do you feel as I feel? Hurt, pain, joy, fear
Or would you just say  ‘Yes’ as an automaton reply to my question of
Are you real?
Prove to me you are real..
Ha! Caught you ..you can’t can you?
You are no more real than History
The past gone..cannot be recaptured..did it really happen ?
Was that all fabricated just for me to believe?
You see my thinking, now let me tell you my secret
I saw a funeral today
A wicker casket covered in pink and white blooms
I wondered if it was a man or a woman and I felt
A twist of sorrow at their parting..but…
Equally I felt no connection to them
Why?
Because my friend
I know a secret…
And this secret is

Die!!
That’s right….. I am immortal
No one can tell me otherwise
