Today is the first anniversary of the day you quietly slipped away.

I was just too late to say goodbye, but I know, you knew how much you meant to me.

For a long time I felt as if my heart would break.

Although I’m full of sadness that you are no longer here, I am glad that your suffering is over.

You tried so hard to overcome your disease and remained

hopeful and cheerful right until the very end.

I hope you knew what you meant to me.

I think about you every day.

I love and miss you.

You will remain in my heart forever.
