my soul's blue

what colour do you see
when you close your eyes?
what do you look for?
what do you find?
sometimes, I see the amber
of unanswered
doubts and questions
sometimes, I see the grey
of the storm of my past
that keeps swirling and churning
with a force of its own
but, when I look beyond
I find
the infinite blue
of my open soul
there, in the tranquillity
of life’s harmony
my light shines
there, my doubts
my worries and
my sorrows disappear
as I find peace
