My Stately Love

Such ardor my love, a ragging torch; I die, gripping a talisman.
My stately love, I’ve fallen unto mercy. You’re my poesy, my
Purple heart. Awaken from slumber—drain the well—love
Has beckoned. Invert misery, my love; seduce an ardent soul;
For love, a midnight sun. In spirit, the veil is mystic. But I dare
Broach divinity; for my love, the fountain of life. But the heart
Is sick, longing for love; the soul aflame, a torrent sea. And I
Stumble, deafly drunk—to the temple.
My stately love, I’m sore afflicted; I die, gripping a talisman—
For love, a sacred trespass. But music, my tender heart; and song,
My precious pain. Thus my love, panic of the soul—I pine for
Sheer embrace. But love, an inward phantom, an outward gem.
Wherefore, awaken heaven, my soaring soul—alter reality. Else
I perish, depth the cave, longing for my stately love.
