My thirsty visitor ?

Hail the humble Hedgehogs
They are elusive like creatures with their long pointy quills and pig-like snouts, such fascinating features

Oh how I love an urchin sniffing midst my garden 
Why only yesterday I almost stood on one but I said “Oops I beg your pardon”
It had popped in for a drink of water from my Spaniel’s bowl
It got a fright when it saw me
I got a bigger one on the whole

Mind you it was not worse for wear
He scuttled off behing my shed
By gum tho can they speed along
I was amazed how fast it sped
Did you know they are most unusual with four stubby toes in the rear
But on the front of their tiny paws I could count five tiny toes so clear

Anyways my thirsty visitor seems to like my grassy lawn coz he hurries as if he is being chashed on the sunrise at the crack of dawn
I think he is a male because he looks ever so big and eeh by golly gosh he is a greedy little pig
I throw dog treats out onto my grass every single night and you can bet your bottom dollar he will eat them
all up on first light
