Nature's Intent
There is a little madness in every head,
and itās both darkness and light,
same as the spider and the bird that eats it
or the greatest beast and the smallest mite.
They're all beautiful
because they fulfil natures desire
each having a role to play,
there is torment in nature,
asĀ light cannot exist without dark
and as night gives way to the day.
Everything is as it should be
there is no good or bad,
nature isnāt selfish but self-fulfilling.
We carry the world on our shoulders
the burden crashing the weary bones,
brittle, pale and hollow,
weakened by the heaviness of pressure
and way too much sorrow.
Then we lift the head higher
andĀ we adjust the burden low,
the darkness is always there
but the light can shine through.
Who am I to go against natureās intent!

There is true harmony in this write B... all your writes speak of an inner peace... a gratefulness almost for the simple joy of living. All your work shines with the calm and beauty of your soul. I envy you... in a good way. Your work always reminds me to look afresh... it reminds me that life is still .... truly stunning... regardless. Thankyou X
I am touched by your words, Marion. Very much touched. Yes, I amā¦very much.Ā
Thatās the way you see me?
It is said that what we see on others reflect back on us. You can only see good if you have good in yourself. If you can see harmony and inner peace, is because you have that in you.Ā
You are indeed a beautiful person, dear Marion.Ā
And I hope that among all your suffering you can always find a moment of peace. When that happensā¦is where your heaven is. Hey, I am getting too gooey now. Tell me to back off if you likešš
Ā
Would that we all felt the same way as your last line. Would that we recognised we are a part of nature. Why try to fight it, or tame it, or control it, or change it. The burden is ours because we have, in our hubris, taken it on thinking we are bigger and more important than nature.Ā
But not all of us.Ā
Great poem my friend.Ā
You are very reflective on this, Bernie. You say that the burden is ours becauseā¦Yes, yes, youāre so right. Well said, I really like your words and the way you see it.Ā
Thank you for being here.Ā
Cheers Bernadette. I am here because .......Ā well you know why Bernadette. Thank you so much for the belief and faith you have shown in me. B
That sorrow we manifest is just too much to hide, too much to ignore.Ā
Yes, Nine Eleven, itās bloody hard! For someā¦for many. Thank you for being here.Ā
Take care.Ā
Hello B...
š
I have a question...
Part of What makes the World go Around?
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...
sparrowsong
Whatās make the world go around, Sparrowsong?Ā
Gravity!
Orā¦love, money, motivation (depends of oneās view on life).Ā
I think itās a SMILE š!
We just have to keep questioning, and youāre very good at that, my friend. Ā BĀ
It's all about balance, at the end of the day. The universe likes balance. We cannot go against the nature of things ... it upsets the universe. People try and go against nature. People think they are clever like that. They think it's okay. That the universe hasn't noticed. But it has. It's just that revenge and retribution (same thing?) work best when a good amount of time has been taken. And the universe is never in a hurry.
I love this Poem of yours,Bernadete. Its really made me think. Great writing xx
ā¦and I love when you reflect and send your thoughts.Ā
Youāre saying that if we go against the nature of things we upset the universe. Thatās it! Thatās right! You said it all..,
balanceā¦balance.Simply beautiful. Cheers!Ā
It's best to accept it for what it is & its rightful place in our world after all, it is indeed a part of it .. the same principle applies to the greatest living thing (in size) right down to an innocent virus .. I am a great believer in homeostasis on both a micro and macro scale .. its what makes the world go round .. Great ink my friend .. NevilleĀ
Right, right, Neville! Homeostasisā¦ an organism
adjusting to the conditions.Ā
Hey Doc, you said it so bloody well. Cheers.Ā
P.S. your first 2 linesā¦ beautiful!!!Ā
You are more than just worth it B .. far more .. NevilleĀ
ānature isnāt selfish but self-fulfilling.ā
So true,Ā
sentience is what gummed up the works as far as mother nature is concerned.
great write
Thank you John. Wise words.Ā BĀ
Splendidly displayed Bernadete. You've captured the essential need that is the duality of light and darkness, and how we only grow when acceptance is obtained. That can be extremely difficult, but once achieved we can soar on the other side of darkness.Ā
I have to admit that I so looking forward receiving your thoughts.
I have a soft spot for this poem and I am happy you read it.Ā
You have enlightened me here and I thank you my friend.Ā Ā
I don't know much about darkness but I am slowly learning from others.
I see how much is there and I do feel for them.Ā
