Nereid

In a land far, far away
Where the sea kisses its most decorative shores
Where the seagulls finish their morning dance
Where gods and mermaids meet to rest
Grows a rare flower of
Almost indescribable beauty
Visible only to the chosen ones
Only a few have that bitter-sweet chance
She allures you with her magnificence
She captivates you with her inner glow
If you stare too long your eyes start to burn
And yet you cannot look away
If you try to run and save you
Her smile invites you to stay
If you try to reach her
She instantly starts to fade
To see her is to adore her
To know her is to love her
To try to possess her is to lose her
If you try to hold her, she'll instantly break
So just enjoy those precious moments she accords you
Then slowly walk away and let her be
But before you forsake this little piece of heaven
Give her one last kiss from me

Thank you Tony :)
Nereids are actually sea nymphs. And this poem is about a girl that lives near the sea, my inspiration.
Looking forward to read your poems...
Have a great evening,
Dario
