Never Clean

Never Clean

The wash of sanctimonious righteousness;
clean on its exterior yet filled with venom.
None are clean from its filthy grasp.
I have not escaped spreading its speech;
with smudges of I know better.

I lay upon righteousness breast.
Finally free from wrong opinion.
Happy in my understanding over yours.
I hold tight to righteousness hand.
Silencing others unsolicited speech.

Then from the void you scream;
I will be heard and you will listen.
What you teach sends me to the wash.
Washed of righteousness that filled my heart.
Now I know everything.

Phillip Arthur ...

Enjoyable read. Opinions are great till disproved by others. Many a good fight over this, especially religion.
