Poem -

Never a Farewell

Never a Farewell

If I bade thee farewell, my cheerless heart would beg me no!

If I bade thee farewell, my sorrowful eyes would begin to flow!

If I bade thee farewell, my quenchless lips would attempt to preach!

If I bade thee farewell, my weakening arms would try to reach!

If I bade thee farewell, my flightless spirit would plead to soar!

If I bade thee farewell, my waning bosom would empty more!

If I bade thee farewell, my racing mind would ponder why!

If I bade thee farewell, my withering soul would prepare to die!

I wish to never bid thee goodbye!
