Never Forget

Never Forget

Never forget our faces when virus contaminated the races,
Never forget the virus reaching too far-off places.
Never forget hospital beds, hospital warriors, nurses giving medicine and full corridors never as before,
Blood virus knocking at every door.
Never forget the sleepless months and ground hog days,
Rare smile in the Covid haze.
Never forget cocooning, no schooling,
No playground, the daily silent sound.
No bar, no cars,
long hair, only a virus stare.
Never forget jigsaws, old films, home baking, new recipes in the making.
Stage one, stage two, stage three, stage four,
wishing all was the same as before.
Never forget the smiles as lockdown ends,
And the devil virus staring like an ex-friend.
Let's look back and understand what was taken away,
How we felt that day.
Grow from experience in your heart and mind,
You are one of a kind.
Never forget governments wrong decisions,
Never forget the united religions.
Never forget George Llyod,
Never forget people became unemployed.
Never forget who you are.
Never forget.
Never forget.
