Poem -

But Never, My Love!

May I contradict self, my faultless love? For a miracle—

Such life. And such tears, a blur of lines. But favor, prose

Of fire. For beauty has never been so beautiful; and

Tears have never been so glorious. I perish a heart; and

Rise a soul. And such inflection, a shaded ghost. Plus,

Affection, a Northern Star. Read not the contour: feel a

Phantom, my wellic dream. Hear the maidens whisper—

A faceless hope; and hear the maidens praise—a faceless

Answer. Where have I died—a road to cross; and what

Have I torn—a heart to mend. And heaven—so near;

And hell—so fervent. Such mystic darkness, a violent

Silence; and such ardent rapture, a voiceless storm.

May I contradict self, my faultless love? For paradox,

Such life; and passion, such flight. But never, my love!
