NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN

Met my first girlfriend there so many years ago 
I was a shy boy in my younger days don't you know
She looked so pretty in a pink summer dress 
What should I say to her was causing me stress

I brought her a cup of tea during the break 
Happy the words came out make no mistake 
One thing the saying goes led to another 
Soon to be my girlfriend, good friend and lover

I read with sadness our meeting place is to close
Just another sign of the times I reckon and suppose 
Places like this closed never to open forever more 
Will always have my memories for certain and sure
