never walk alone
dark little alleyways where nightmares come alive
alone you walk high heels tripping you up
every drunk step falling sideways onto the cold damp walls
oblivious to the danger about to kill your soul
a hidden shadow waiting for the thrill of a lonely girl like you
friends gone.....left alone.........no way home
walk the way......start to stray........drunken tone
thoughts of no fear in you ,"homes not far"
but eyes didn't see the hidden hands behind the garbage bins
underneath the stairwell he lurks for lust when he can
grabbed from behind confusing your mind
mouth taped.........body raped
left for dead..........no words said
alcohol gone but something worse left in place
a life destroyed by walking alone
friends and family safe at home
months pass.....,,,,dangers gone
mind stronger........you have to move on
you'll never walk alone again

Wonderful write (lil)Sis and a friend in need is a friend in deed and one that would not allow you to make the judgement to be alone in such conditions,under the influence are not.Dangerous these days, are the conditions of break ins, in our own homes, so what would, are should there be expected by any that has unfortunately placed themselves in these surrounds late at night when the opportunity for these bottom feeders, to be lurking where the there exist no securities what so ever.....Avery good piece of information have you placed out there for all that practice these measures to grasp onto and truly take to heart...Live to learn from the mistakes of our past endeavors, rather than repeating them and in some cases, never receive the chance from this mistake of a life time, to learn and live....Great job (lil) with the introductory of this poem of word to the wise....
jim thank you ,i think every woman has the responsibility to teach young girls of those dangers .in saying that young men these days should be told as well a things like this are on the rise with either sex.we all know of someone its happened to and its too easy when drunk to take the wrong path.a lifetime of self -blame comes then . it was hard to write as feeling in this situation took a lot of thought and scary.i just hope some that read it boy or girl ,man or woman take care.
