Never Yet

Never Yet

Never yet have I seen a face that is
More deserving of the word perfection.
No one's eyes looked so lonely as did his;
None else were so blind to my affections.
Thick black running rivers of coal coarse round
His delicate head like a crown making
His pale white skin burst and I am spellbound.
Those soft freckles amaze me, creating
depth, a forest in the snow of the woods
leading to dark pools of light either side
of a slender mountain, no you aren’t weird
You, darling, are far from it, so goodbye,
If I can’t be with you in this lifetime,
I’ll wait til the next to walk by your side.
