Poem -

New found friend .

Are you broken too, said the little girl
Looking down at a lost puppy
Chewing on an old shoe, here she said
I have half a bread roll, I could share
It with you, if you'd like me too

The puppy stopped chewing the old shoe
For a moment or two and looked up
towards the little girls face,

Where tears started falling
From her eye's, the little girls name
was Grace,

The puppy leapt up wagging his tail
Covering her little cheeks
with big warm and wet kisses,

something Grace had missed most
In all that Time alone, On the street

here puppy, she said' let's eat

As Grace took a bite of the half eaten roll
A lady and A gentleman walked past
taking an evening stroll,

the puppy barked and barked, aiming for
Attention, just then, by some
Angelic intervention the couple walked on over

hello little girl, said the man
holding out his Hand to greet her
I see you've met my little friend Rover
he's a lucky dog, almost like
a four leaf clover

The little girl looked surprised, wiping
Falling tears from her eye's

I got lost she said, and no one heard
my cries in the dark, so I stayed here
alone in the darkness of this park

until your little friend Rover
came over to sit with me awhile,
she said with a Tiny glimpse of a smile,

oh my dear, said the man
no one heard your cries in the dark
come with us my dear, it's dangerous here
after dark in the park, dry your eyes
we're off to get some pies
and milk for our little puppy Rover

when we get there we'll call
The authorities over, so don't you worry
and don't be sad, we shall find
your mum and dad,

suddenly the girl named Grace, had
A big smile upon her face, looking down
towards Rover and Said

you truly are a four leaf clover
I'm so glad to have met you
my new found friend

the end.

Thanks heaps sis, I can't help but feel sad when thinking of children missing their parents, lost somewhere, breaks my heart, so I wanted to write a little story with a happy ending, I'm saddened every day for those parents who's children are taken and all the murders unsolved, so many innocent children die each year
It is something I'll never truly understand how a person could be so heartless and evil

This little girl I had the ability to save
Much love to you always nardine xox
