New Year's Eve 2016

Old friends and new I am tired as another year has almost expired 
and what have I accomplished or even begun very little I must say. 
So may the next year to come be better then the last. 
Tonight is the eve I reflect on what has past. 
As the grasshopper goes down slow and cold. 
I am counting down the moments. 
Till the ball will soon drop on another year in a newyork minute. 
Tonite is when we lay to rest the old and familiar 
and welcome in the new and uncertain moments of this the new year. 
Fore I am hopeful this is the year of change for 
many of us in so many seemingly different ways.
