Nice to See You

Nice to See You

My name is lonely.

My name is scared.

My name is embarassed.

My name is degraded.

My name is worn.

How am I doing?

Let me put it this way:

I'm broken.

No, I'm not good.

I refuse to give you the real answer, however

Because I am a lost cause

And not worth the time.

So, I give a simple

"I'm fine".

I seem upset?

"No, I'm tired."

Then you'll leave with a

"Nice to see you".

Liar.

Phony.

No it wasn't.

You could have stayed to care

What about a hug?

Any gesture of affection?

No, of course not.

You lied to my face

With your fabricated politeness

And again

I'm left here all alone.
