My Heart

My Heart

The first time
you peed
on my shoe
made me realize
how much I love you

You were smarter
than the other
boys and girls
in school
Being smarter
than your teachers though,
caused me
 frequent
interactions
with them

mediocre educators
always
entitled
always displaying
the "woe is me"
role
were just unpleasant
to be around

Thank You
for that!

You grew

and rose
to the rank
of Hero
the minute
you stepped into adulthood

A distinguish sailor
An honorable man
It is with pride
I call you
son......
