Poem -

Night Fever.

I walk through the city’s bright night street lights.
The streets busy with bustling people and drunken street fights.
The city air smells of hell.
Everywhere drugs street dealers sell.
Pubs and clubs are busy and loud.
Inside of them always a troublesome crowd.
The night streets filled with slow moving cars.
The homeless sit in corners drinking from their cheap wine glass jars.
The smell of cooking food does pollute the air.
Women of the night at you wink and hardly any clothes their aging bodies do wear.
Police walk by with nosey eyes.
Knowing this night as always a human unlawfully dies.
City foxes so dirty and diseased look through garbage bins for rotting food to survive.
I head home to my safe haven knowing there i will stay safe and alive.
I leave behind a city of night madness.
That’s filled with filth sorrow and badness.
