Night Winds

Night Winds

The night wind chills and blows.

Into the forest where silence grows.

Making oak trees bend and touch the ground.

Where the darkness ends, wails its mournful sound.

When you come in the night to me

I bend for you just as the tree.

First with your whisper then a sigh.

First my protest, then my cry.

Then you blow away into the sky

Just like the eerie winds go by.
