NIGHTMARE

Breath it in the darkness swallows

loneliness  the fear that follows

eyes open wide but cannot see

paralysed unable to flee

engulfed by dread the bodys weak

opened mouth no sounds that shriek

awake the terrors have passed

in the mind always the shadows that massed
