Nightmare

Nightmare

"Nightmare"
I just had the most turbulent nightmare known to mankind. Who would ever think that so much emotional destruction could happen deep in your mind? The kind of event that makes you wish you had a superpower to make time rewind. So devastating an event, you can't just leave it behind. Let me see if I can explain. A nightmare like a whirlwind of chaos that happened inside my brain. It was like an apocalypse in my slumber originating in my cerebral cortex. A feeling as if the valves of my heart where physically being pinched by forceps. Like all your strength, confidence and reason for living got lost inside a vortex. What happened while I slept boar truthfulness in its context. The first time in my life that I awoke with tears having inundated my pillow while in my sleep, cascading down my face. I'll begin by telling you that the antagonist in my nocturnal cerebral hallucination disappeared without a trace. This was the scenario, a man and a woman standing in front of each other in what felt like an eternity. Flowers blooming and birds chirping, this moment could not have been bought with any amount of currency. For at least one of those two people, that moment didn't have to end with any urgency. For that to happen would be an absurdity. Silence overwhelmed the audible aspect of this occurrence. Before what would happen next, goosebumps filled the man’s epidermis. I mean almost every inch of his skin's surface. A soft breeze filled their surrounding. The man was about to speak with all the willpower he could muster and his words would be outstanding. He was able to finally conger a phrase spoken throughout the ages. He whispered an inaugural “I love you” implying that in life's book he wanted her to fill the pages. At that very moment, all the blossoming flora whithered and the cantor of the avian ceased. Like those two factors of perfection had diminished from some disease. The gentle breeze turned into stagnant air, the man felt like he couldn't breathe. The sun collapsed within itself causing infinite darkness. He found himself in the longest 10 seconds of existence and had no inner strength to harness. Finally the woman spoke and her four words seemed to echo throughout the galaxy. Those four words made the man's cardiac muscle begin to atrophy. The scariest moment in his life he would never recover from was a catastrophe. Coincidentally what happened in my nightmare is also my reality. Like a bladed object through the man's chest, the four words cut deeper than anyone can imagine. Like he was attacked by the four deadly horsemen: War, Death, Conquest and Famine. His life felt like it ended as his world diminished and he knew not what to do. The man's internal armageddon originated from these four simple words… “I don't love you…”
