NO BOILING HOT WATER

I filled my kettle with cold water like many times before
Always expecting hot boiling water that is for sure
Today was different as you are about to see
No boiling hot water would happen for me

I waited and waited and still it didn't come
This boiling hot water is a pain in the bum
I checked that the plug was firmly in its hole
All was fine and boiling hot water was still my goal

Then a light bulb moment appeared on my head
Get me a saucepan I will use a gas ring instead 
That's what they did in those ye old times
