No Fairytale Ending

No Fairytale Ending

Walking to a run
Sweat drops dip upwards
Upside down this book
This is a fairytale ending
Collapse

Beginnings normally start chest high
Well why do I feel so low
Then again
Why ask questions with answers I already know

My eyes empty
Replaying destruction
Turning fantasies of matter
Into nightmares that I wish didn’t matter

It brings dry tears to my eyes to envision what once was the truth
As lies
And while my tears resist
Rainbows turn gay
Leaving me absentminded
Yet, with so much to say
An inner struggle that could not be won
Both sides would lose

Running to a walk
Now, sweat drops drip downwards
collapse
