no good for us

In the Wagon was where we first met,
I asked you for a quid and your pockets I jingled,
We didn’t know each other, no not yet,
But in time to come, we had laughed and mingled,
I love you so dearly, you must know that,
A friend you have been, there always for me,
For many a night we had sat for hours and we chat, 
We have laughed and had fun, as happy as can be, 
But you and me together, we are just bad news,
When we are together, trouble will always follow,
A life filled with drugs, that and booze,
Unfortunately it’s time now, it’s time to burst our bubble,
I am writing this poem to tell you why, 
To explain to you what we need, what has to be done 
It’s time for us to leave each other, time to say goodbye,
Our days of drink and drugs, need to be done,
Take care of yourself and be all you can be,
I think you’re great and a wonderful friend,
Finding forgiveness and happiness, is  your key 
Remember the good times, remember me, but all good things,  have to end x
