No Grey in Childhood!

No Grey in Childhood!

Paint a picture of living reality
Take a brush from childhood
where each stroke is a memory had
White for good and Black for bad

See the canvas as happiness
How much white can you see?
Christmas, making sandcastles, playing out
Fear, mental torment, guilt, a nearly blackout

What before you is created
by lived experience happy and sad
The scene is forming on the page
Look for the colour to this early age

Innocence in youth is there
pleasure amazing or sadness too much
Trying to colour what I remember
now time has gone from May to September

Today I paint a picture new
with brushes from my Autumn years
Happenings, feelings, an image assigned
truth emerges, childhood colours realigned

Black or White? So clear to me
visualising the developing colour
I understand now with no childhood glee
What's the colour? Black or White?

No just lots of Grey to see!

Hello Wendy...

Why don't we say...

Lighter or darker...

Have you ever took something black and put some white over it or through it?

I have always loved that design...

Neopolitan Ice cream has pink in the middle...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...
