the precious time

The memories of
another life
kept the flame alight

barely flickering;
Is now all but a warm flush on our skin.

We existed in a fragile bubble,
Drifting on a cacophony of silent sound waves
of words unspoken.

Alas our bubble has slipped away
carried on our warm breaths,
back into our dreams.

Dreams of past hopes and longing
Beyond our reach.
