Poem -

nobody's sun

there are bubbles in which
many souls choose to live
they touch on their lives
in the faintest of ways

some sleeping, some screaming
some dead eyed with stare
I float with them all
we are all floating there

expecting no more than
what's already done
no fight or flight needed
no reason to run
we wait in our bubbles
for something to come
bewildered, encased under
nobody's sun

some sleeping, some screaming
some dead eyed with stare
I float with the rest,
we are all floating there
