Nostalgia
Are you ever nostalgic for me?
Do you ever reminisce about our time together?
Or wonder what would have happened had you chose me?
When we first kissed?
When you said you could have loved me?
In years to come,
And we are just a fond memory,
Will you greet me in the streets with that stale distant reply?
Or
Will you look at me with that gentle caress
as I walk by,
And want to hold me as if I had never left?
I hope so.
