Not a fairy tale

Life isn't the fairy tale, you had in your head
When you was a child, dreaming in bed.
Dreams of mansions, and everything new
All those things, was not meant for you.
Ideas of princes, and knights in their armour
You will be lucky, if you get a real charmer.
Hopes of 12 kids, happy and playing and things
You can't have them, and the tear now stings.
Not one thing went as you thought it could
You still wish and wish, and hope that it would.
Instead you are homeless, no home of your own
Everything you have, is all on loan.
The clothes on your back, are wet and cold
Your only young, but you feel old.
No food in your belly, all weak with hunger
Now you wish you ate more, when you was younger.
sometimes your lucky, you eat out of bins
until you get caught, their solicitor wins.
You sit with your head down, stopped asking for help
People ignore, spit and kick at you, until you yelp.
There's no room in the shelter, so it's the bus stop again
Until the police move you, as they watch you wain.
Everyone treats you as a alcoholic druggy
But your none of those things, even if you look mucky.
You sometimes self harm, to get a night in the warm
Even if it's a hospital, it's out of the storm.
So life's not the fairy tale, you though it would be
No matter how i tried, it wasn't for me.
