Not a She a He

He wants to scream I'm not your daughter
I'm not her so don't call me she call me he
I am your son
He stood in front of his mirror staring at what didn't make sense
Under his breath he ask "why"Â
A pale skin boy looking down to see all the cuts
on his body writing his story
The cuts on his body tell the path to all the things he'll never be
All the things he longs to be
Tears streaming down his cheeks
He screams I'm not she I am he
Smiling eventually at himself
His tears still fall for his liesÂ
He whimpers I'm a boy holding himself tight he doesn't understand why he was born this way
I'm a boy trapped in a girls body
The boy in the mirror feels so caged living a lie to live up to society's expectationsÂ
He tried to be the person that they all wanted him to be
Still pushed by life he cuts day after day
Just wanting to die
The girl in the mirror disappears as he no longer a she
Wants the world to see
His chest flatter and his cuts now healed scars
Tell the story of the world pushing him to far
In time it will all come togetherÂ
You'll feel better
With love and supportÂ
Your mother Heather

Oh my goodness... This is such a sad write. So very heartbreakingly sad. My heart goes out to the boy who wants to be a girl. Well, these days things can be done to help hims become hers and hers become hims. Right now it is support needed. As a mother it is the worst thing ever, to see your child suffering. This poem brought tears to my eyes, it really did. Hugs for you both x
