Poem -

Not Afraid of Loving You

I'm not afraid of loving you
for a thousand broken hearts
with their ever present sorrows
would be worth but a kiss

From lips perfect in shape
full of an electricity so powerful
it's kick barely compares
to their allure which seizes me

Eyes so vivid, like the brightest star
by which so many men of ages past
either wished upon from their hearts
or were guided home to a lovers embrace

Fortunate am I to call you friend
one so dear to my very being
whose joy is beyond contagiois
the light, the flame, of any room

You could warm yourself by her smile
no lingering sadness seems to last
past hurts start fading into the distance
such is her power to turn night to day
