Not A Game

Life, my friend, is not a game
Remember we're not all the same
Advice, at times, is good and true
At other times it won't help you

For danger lurks, and troubles too
Each day, we think, there's something new
Commitment to a worthy cause
Is what we'll need to beat our flaws

For action happens all the time
A force for good or force for crime
Decide the best that you can do
And find the strength to see it through

Each moment all can change so fast
Good times and bad, they will not last
Perspective brings both joy and shame
We have to learn, it's not a game
