Not Just A Tree
Oh how cool it would be
Just to grow like a tree
You see a tree it gets to be free
It grows so tall as fast as it can
It's limbs go up and down again
Just a little water just a little wind
A tree you see can grow into a friend
A tree can start with just a few seeds
But like anything it still has needs
It gives you lots of nice shade 
It gives you lots of fresh air 
It let's you climb it don't care
A tree can even help you breathe
And if you want you can hide underneath 
You see all a tree really needs 
Is a good firm ground to spread it's roots
Lots of rain to quench it's thirst
Lots of sun so it can shine
Give it these things and it will be fine
A tree you see is a lot like me
It needs it's space so it can grow 
I want a chance to let you know
That like that tree
I need to show you who I can be
I need my chance to spread my wings
A tree needs strong branches, to hold up swings
Neither me nor the tree
Need much just let us grow just let us be
Give us space and lots of air 
Don't damage us show us you care
Do these things and you might see
That I also can grow like a big Oak tree
Just like the tree that gives you shade
Let me grow and my love will never fade
