not perfect
I debate
don't understand
the youth
I make sure
I am not
politically 
correct
I defy 
to be placed
in a group
Republicans hate me
and
Liberals hate me more...........

I am not perfect
Won't be 
getting a
six pack
anytime 
soon
I am not 
sure if that
is even possible
but I am taking
one day at
a time
and I am making an
effort...

I am not perfect
but I have chosen
not to drown
my sorrows
away
by using
drugs or alcohol 
to ease the pain
for the pain is always 
there

I am not perfect
Hell I got 4 degrees
One from an almost Ivy
League School
and
if I had the money 
I would probably make
it 5

I wonder Can someone
be an academic
junkie?

but I do have
a loving
wife
and 2 kids
that actually
love and respect
me

but the blessing
of having a family
is

my reality

matters
